North Shore Community College Hosts Evening Honoring Nurse Education and Fire Science Programs

Celebrating 60 Years of Learning, Service, and Impact

Danvers, MA (10/02/2025) — As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, North Shore Community College (NSCC) will host a special evening honoring two of the College's longest-running and most impactful programs: Nurse Education and Fire Science. The event will bring together students, alumni, faculty, partners, legislators, media, and community supporters to celebrate the programs' contributions to the region's health, safety, and workforce.

Nurse Education and Fire Science are two of North Shore's longest running programs. "We are thrilled to host an evening celebrating the programs' enormous legacy and contributions that have strengthened our community," said NSCC President William Heineman. "For decades, our Nurse Education and Fire Science programs have prepared students for lives of service, compassion, and courage. Our graduates are on the front lines every day. This celebration is a tribute to their enduring legacy and the impact they continue to make."

Tuesday, October 7, 2025

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Optional tours: NSCC's state-of-the-art Bertolon Simulation Health Care Center of Excellence will also be offered.

The Center includes six simulation rooms (Respiratory Care, Labor and Delivery/NICU, Pediatric, two Medical/Surgical, and an outpatient room) providing NSCC students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a simulated health care environment and practice real-life situations long before they graduate.
